October 13 Meeting
The October meeting will be on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Ritchie Memorial Shelter House at 8 pm. There will be a BAP / HAP and equipment raffle. For the bowl show, the classes will be: Arts & Crafts; Marine Fish; All Other Old World Cichlids
Our speaker will be Professor Jennifer Snekser of Canisius University. Professor Snekser’s research focuses on fish behavior, ecology, and conservation. Specifically, she is interested in understanding different aspects of social behavior as related to ecology and evolution, focusing on both ultimate and proximate reasons for behavioral expression. She utilizes the diversity in fishes to explore a variety of behaviors, including parental care, territoriality, sexual behavior, and shoalmate choice. Professor Snekser’s talk will be presented via Zoom at the Ritchie Memorial Shelter House.
