Save the date of Saturday morning, June 20, for our Native Fish Collecting Outing.
Who: Friends, family, and members of other aquarium clubs are welcome.
What: It is a free fishing day for the State of Ohio, so no license is required for Ohio residents. We recommend bringing nets, buckets, bags, and specimen containers for viewing fish. Bring a fishing pole and bait if you prefer casting.
We will explore the Cuyahoga River and Kelsey Brook, both from shore, and in the water — bring water shoes, boots, or fishing waders if you want to enter the water. For safety, please don’t enter the river alone or unsupervised by someone else in the group.
Where: Water Works Park — 2025 Munroe Falls Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, 44221. When entering the Water Works Family Aquatics Center, from Munroe Falls Ave, stay to the right and continue straight through the tunnel to enter the park. Continue straight to park in the central loop, or turn left for additional options, including disabled access near the restrooms.
When: Saturday, June 20, 2026. We will meet at 9 am at the waterfront stairs directly above the central parking loop, and conclude around noon. Please feel free to stop by anytime during that period of time to participate.
